- невозможно нормально скрести жидкий навоз с бетонных площадок — подстилка подмерзает, становится скользкой; коровы рискуют поскользнуться и получить травмы;
- водопои частично покрываются льдом, требуется ручная проверка;
Lamma:
- сверхнизкопрофильная шина от BKT (выглядит необычно — хозяин видел её на Agritechnica);
- новый New Holland T7 с укороченной колёсной базой и обновлённой кабиной (стиль);

Howdy folks, how are we doing? Look who it is, it's fudgy dodgy. All right Fidge Fudge, you just woke up, have you? Yes Fidgey Fudgey, Dale boy, Dale boy, yeah Dale boy. Good boy Dale, good boy. So just got back from farm for the morning for breakfast. Flo's just got up, ain't you Fudge? Snowy outside. Come on then Fudge, Fudge. Come on. You are getting on a bit now, aren't you? Do you want a hand? Do you? Come on then. Oh, steady, steady, Fudge. What are you like? Come on then, come on. Come on, Fudge. Fudge. Fudge. Fudge. I hope I'll get you all the way down. You're not very good at getting downstairs now, are you? Good girl, Fudge. Here, in the kitchen. Oh, yeah. hello pipsqueak so this is one of the new pups there's the other one there's rodgers and pip so pip's a little bitch um what are they nine weeks now rodney are you tired are you tired rodney oh dear oh rodney rodney here good chap ain't you yeah there's uncle delt yeah good boy rodney let's put your ear right There you go, good boy. Good boy Del, mate. Fudge couldn't give a monkeys. You don't like little putts, do you, Fudge? But they've had their first snow. It is cold and snowy outside, Fudge. There's the others. There it is. Del, boy, you going out? Del, go on then. Good boy, Del. What's up, Rodders? Hey, Rodney. Hey, we'll stay out there. What do you see? Ready? Go on then. Yep, there's a lot. I've been out for my walk. I think cold pours. There we want to come in. Come on then, dear. Oh, boy. Where's these other scouts? There's Fodge. Look at that Rodney. You want to go in, Fodge? You're too cold for you, innit? You going in, Rod? Go find your sister. Pipsqueak. Pip. Pip. Pip. This way. She's off. We'll get a pipsqueak. There's the pond. There is fish in there somewhere. All hiding under the frog in there. Here's Pip. Come on Pip. Here we go. Yeah, Pip squeak. What are you doing, Super Rod? You had to be Rodney, didn't you? Because of your Uncle Del. So you're learning a valuable lesson here, Rodney. Don't disturb Del Boyle. You're vicious, teller, isn't you? Are you vicious? Not really, are you lot? You're a lot of noise. He's very good with them, to be honest. Considering he doesn't like being sniffed. Do you, Del? For some reason, he hates being sniffed, and always has done. Like, if Flo wants to sniff him, he'll leg it, sort of like, he'll, you know, get away. But, of course, he's allowed to sniff anyone else. So, he's doing very well, because, obviously, Puppy's, um... Very inquisitive, they want to sniff you all the time didn't they Del? They want to sniff all the time didn't they Del boy? Yes! You've been a good uncle Del, haven't you? Well, well actually big brother Del really if we want to be accurate, don't we? Del and Rodney. There's pepsqueak. That's the one Liz chose. Little girl. Mad little girl. Wherever Rodney's gone, he's spitting image of Bob, the best dog I ever had and he's been gone for six years now, I think, something like that, about six years. And he's a spitting, well, as spitting images you get anyway, so as soon as I see him, I have to have him. Do that, you still end up with snow in your car, don't you? Not too bad. New tyres the other day, general grabbers, 83s. They don't, they're too sticky. can't have any fun first time you've seen the truck proper as well d40 navara um yeah i had one of these before i had my first disco and uh yes they've got a bit of a reputation they um they're known for splitting in half uh corrosion all that sort of stuff but um yeah hopefully this one uh won't do that yeah so the truck is saying um Minus six at the minute. So it is fairly cold out there. So I'll have to go and check everything's water, make sure everything's running. The separator I'll want to put it on later. I'm going to get a bit of sun on it. There you go, we're going to do a brake check. That's how good them tyres are. It was nearly full braking and it was quite happy to stop without skidding. Yeah, so like I said, I owned a 56 plate D40. Probably, I can't remember when it was, probably in 2008, something like that. So yeah, it was a good truck. And hence when the Astra died, or was dying, I decided to go back down the pickup route. Still got, obviously, still got the disco. But there's a few times where I've wanted a pick-up rather than a van or a disco. So if I want I can take the truckman off the back of this and I've got the truck then to move stuff about if I want like. Yeah, so nice truck, nice comfy. What's she done? 102,000 miles. Yeah, lovely. So we've got a bit of repair work to do today. in the wagon and I'm probably going to need a vice so I'm going to fire the fast track up because she's obviously got the Royatec compact box on with the vice on it so it saves me having to go um walk from one side of the yard to the other so I'm going to do a bit of a cold start because it is very very cold like I say minus six hand bottle at frozen so I've just got the bar at the minute It'll take a few minutes to warm up, won't she? We're now just having a bit of a clear up. Of course, it's frozen out there. So we've really been able to scrape up, because it's been cold for now, what, three days? So, yeah, so having a bit of a square up. We'll take this separated muck up the field. That's one of the other issues with a dairy farm when it's cold like this. You can't scrape up properly outside. That makes it more slick for the cows. Higher risk of them going over and nobbling themselves. Also, we're going to have to check the water troughs because some of them will probably be a bit froze. So, yeah, it just creates a fair bit more extra work, it does. Got a new mug the other day. Well, two new mugs, because the top bits go on them eventually. The little clip, that bit, and then it don't seal up. So Liz done two new mugs for me. I don't know what pictures she used, but that was one of them. Really quite smart. Fast-trapped with a Ritek compact box, and the other one is the FW on the Restorer. So, I certainly need a nice bit of warm tea in the daylight today. Comes with my trailer. Yeah, so if I haven't said, I can't remember if I've said. Happy, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone. Keep going, keep going, keep going, keep going. You're alright. Yeah, so we're in, we're out of the Christmassy section now. We're into the New Year. Lama is next week. It's Monday the, what is it today? The 5th? Is it the 5th today? Something like that? It'll be Monday the 5th. Yeah, so Lama's coming up in a week and a half, basically. No, not even that, just over a week. It's next Wednesday, Thursday, isn't it? So I must find out today for sure whether the FW is going. As you've seen on the previous video, the wheels are back on it now. I've not really seen it fully with the wheels back on in the daylight, but... All that is left now is, well, I say all that's left is, I've still got some wiring to do. There's also, we've got finished carry-on service. Darren's done the hubs while the wheels are off and he's done the front axle. Obviously, there's everything else to do as well yet, so. Yes, we've got that to do and I've got, like I say, wiring and lighting to sort out, so. apart that really it's uh ready to go lab if it is going um if not we'll still probably be doing a meet and greet on the seat stand on one of the days i'll let you know um times on that light and hopefully i don't uh yeah on the one of the agri-technica vids um it showed the seat stand over agri-technica in there they've got um a new very ultra low air tyre and it was um it was a very funny looking tyre sort of thing um and be interested if they've got that at lamb and we can find out a little bit more about it because i didn't really find out too much about it but um yeah so that'll be interesting a lot obviously new orland um we'll have the new standard wheelbase t7 there with the no style in the new cab and everything Hopefully Deutsche Welle will have their new 9 Series there. The new cab on that. That would be very nice. Because I've not actually looked in that yet. I couldn't get in it at Agrotechnica. Yeah, and see what other bits and bobs we've got at Lama this year. So, yeah, looking forward to it. Should be good. There we go. Right. Let's get the tray out. Get my mounts out. And we can get the... And we can get the... vice out that on there like so out the way that there comes out sits like that put that there pull the vice out that sits in there so now i've got a bit of um metal shaping to do and that sort of stuff i can just easily use the vice just to have a bit of metal cut the bits of uh to cut the bit of metal shape it so uh yeah so handy so handy right so we're in the feeder wagon you see we've got a bit of damage just here just where it's starting to wear thin um similar situation the other end of this block um this sort of box section arrangement is just to get the um crop to feed and let me show you just to get the crop to feed to the um to the uh to the door so You don't have a blank spot there, hence why we've got this sort of box section in there a lot. And that sort of keeps the silage there, you know, when it's getting empty and it forces it out the door. So, yeah, we've got to just repair that, obviously, because that'll get worse quickly unless we repair it. Same up the other end. Yeah, so we've got a bit of cutting to do. Whirl a bit more metal in there. And it'll be a good one. Yeah, not a lot of thickness to that. Do have to be careful in here because there's so many knives everywhere. All these bottom augers have sit covered in knives and they are razor sharp. And I mean razor sharp. You can even just sort of like, you lean on one too much, that'll go in you. They are very, very sharp. Better wiggle that off now. There you go. Check that bit out. Think we can do something with that now. i'll get that cleaned up there's a good crack down there is that one there then we've got to fill that in so we'll get that just cleaned up a little bit and um get welded in there like that that won't be too bad yeah get some world on that job will be a good one right so that side's done break my welding quality welding that is top notch Yeah, it's not exactly the best in the world, is it? But it'll do the job. It'll do the job. Oh, yeah, I've got to be careful. Blew it welding out. Doesn't like staying up. Yeah. Yeah, it's not pretty, but it doesn't have to be pretty. It just has to last a little while. So I've just got to do this side now. Yeah, so there's all your knives. Each one of them little round things. There's a knife. and they're razor sharp so so you've got very you've got nowhere to stand basically so you either stand standing on the on the auger or in the center section um and that's it so it's very awkward to do anything in here um but that is what it is you know it's a it's a horizontal uh horizontal auger feeder wagon it does chop through your bowels quick but it's not great to work on any on inside Especially when you're changing all the blades. I don't know how many blades are in here but there's a lot. I've only just developed my little seat. Before that I used to use a bit of foam and just sort of plonk it on top. Sort of where that is now. But I thought there's got to be a slightly easier way to do this. Sometimes I'd sort of kneel down like that. It's just very awkward, but that seat does make life a little bit easier. Although you are just bent double all the time, but here's what it is, isn't it? I'll tell you what, blooming cold. It's not very warm in here. Let's crack on, get this other bit done, then to have a bit of dinner. Go and check and see what sort of destruction the puppies have done. There we go. That's a little bit better. That'll do anyway. God, it's cold. I am really not very warm. and fairly seized up anyway we can get out of here now get tools packed up and get it filled again so just putting the connectors back into the um control box then the uh put the battery back up on the tractor job begin certainly a bit better in the sun wouldn't matter even if i pulled it out the shed because the sun doesn't get high enough to get into the wagon anyway so um yeah wouldn't have made much difference like get the truck warming up a bit oh yeah not used to this cold right shut that down we should be able to get this out now get it ready for get ready for filling plug the electrics in would help wouldn't it be able to use hydraulics then let's give it a test run well no unusual noises so that's good uh i just want to lift that up we're away All right, let's get out of here. Time's for dinner. Let's see what sort of carnage the pups have got up to. Can't beat a bit of tell-out action. You can turn the, you've got a button to turn the traction control off in here, so we'll let it spin up a bit a lot. Top of use, Bazzi. You like twinkles? Yeah. All right, Rodney, a bit quick. Any peas and poos? Come down, quick, quick, down, down, down. Del, come on. Del, Del. Come on through. Del. That's how do you poos outside. Go on. Go on then. All right, you coming now. Come on. Why are you being such a knob? Eh? Why are you being such a knob? Oh, there's a poo there. Yeah, where'd that come from? Lovely. Loading the wagon now, having fed for the evening. The little chunk. He wants a couple of owls. He wants one in his feed and one on the floor. Hopefully he won't... He'll give me a chance to get in there before he destroys it. We will hope. Don't destroy it, Chunk. Don't destroy it. Go on, Chunkamonker. You're a chunky. Don't be a knob. Don't, don't, no. He is a lunatic. Right, hopefully he'll... Yeah, he's busy on the old straw there. Might give me a chance to... Get his net wrap off before he returns. Go on, chunk. Go on. Play with your other straw. There's a good lad. Wait a minute. He's going to be in here quick. There he goes. There we go. It's all yours, chunker. Good lad. There he goes. Good chunky. Good boy. Nice house, though. Good lad. Right. Tuck in a rough one for the floor. that's embedded up for the night anyway that's enough for me today um yeah i hope you enjoyed that vid uh yeah see you on the next one

It's been a busy time catching up with jobs after Christmas and we've got two new Jack Russel pups, Pip and Rodney!
