LMG Plant Hire (Latham Miles Gear)
Agri-Technica

Howdy folks, how we doing? Join me on a very cold, windy Sunday. See if we get time to do that today. Give them a new brush because there's not a lot left, is there? I do have a habit of pulling the bristles out for some reason. But, yeah, could do with getting a new brush on there for them so they can have a good old scratch. Yeah, Sunday before Lama, bit of a Lama update. We've got these cows woke up for milking. Come on, girls. Now, like you probably know, come on, girls. I was hoping to get, well, hopefully the FW was going to be on the SEAT stand this year, showing off a, you know, SEAT Torque Max VF tyres lot, but one thing and another. There you go in. Yes, just not worked out this year. Not enough room on the stand. Because they're actually on a stand with the importer, Nordic tyres, GB tyres. So, there was talk of it being out in the foyer. But then they decided it was a bit of a... Let's turn the line. It was a bit of a... Bit of a big tractor for the foyer, which is correct. Quite often in the foyer you'll see... a new oland tractor the shelbourne reynolds hedge flail on the back that's quite often in the foyer um but uh it's gone dark but no so yeah it would have been a big for the foyer and it would have been better to have it on stand anyway so it's not going to be on stand this year come on girls but uh yes we'll be on stand uh we'll probably do the wednesday We'll be on stand at, say, probably 10, 11 o'clock. I'll give you an update near the time. So, yeah, a bit of a shame that the FW is not going to be on stand. Come on, girl. One of the slowest cows we've got, 132. But, yeah, we'll still do a meet-up on stand, SEAT stand or GB tyres, Nordic stand. Come on, girls. Yeah, we'll say Wednesday, 11 o'clock. If that changes, I will let you know. But that's what we think. We'll be there for an hour or so. Hour or two. But I'll see you. You know, see you around the show anyway, lot. I'll tell you what, you know you're getting older when you just jump out the tractor like I just did now when I fired the feeder wagon up. And I didn't really get off the tractor any different than I would normally. Shooting pains up my left lower back. Oh, and down the... down the leg as well it happens occasionally I don't know what it is it's like a muscle just gets out a muscle or a tendon just gets out of shape oh and it is I would imagine like being stabbed it is excruciating pain and you have to sort of like try and hold yourself in a specific position it's good job I weren't filming really because I'd have blown your ears off for those of you that are wearing headphones because I did scream very very painful then you have to sort of stand there for five minutes and it'll relax and then you'll be fine it's did it the other day you know like i say just and the other day it was like and 30 seconds and it was gone and it was like totally normal i can just feel it it's taking a little bit longer to disappear today i can just feel it um it's still hovering in the in the background if you know what i mean it's starting to get an old i'm guessing yeah really a lot of fun It's a bit like, I'll tell you what it's a bit like actually. It's a bit like a dislocated knee, shoulder, elbow, something like that. I've had three dislocated knees and two dislocated shoulders. Same shoulder and my knee was the same actually. The knee was on three separate occasions. One was, like we're talking back in school now, the first time I was playing volleyball. Went down to get a low shot. This is in PE obviously like. And when my knee hit the hard wooden floor, the old kneecap, just like I'm leaving the chat. And that was the side. So that was the first one. The second one I was playing rugby probably two or three years later. Went up in a line out because I was a Ford. And as I went up, as I jumped up, it come out in mid-flight. as i landed it went back in so that was an in and out and then the third and last time with my knee was i was milking cows first job and um i was in the parlour and i slipped and again as i slipped my knee um my knee popped out but um my shoulder actually i was moving calves um we were loading calves up quite big strong cars they were like two months old i think two or three months old and I got this arm here under the front, under the head of the front end of the calf. This end was on the back end, like, yeah, this, my right arm was on the back end, and big strong calf. As it sort of jumped, it twisted this shoulder out, and it went back in, you know, yeah, it went back in. I did that, and it went back in. I was like, fuck it. Then, so I carried on, and then, did it again because obviously i just weakened it like so probably the same calf as well i can't grab it a few years ago there and um that was uh yeah then that i could not get it back in so you know you normally sort of you do that with it but your knee it's easy you can just pop your kneecap back in like um but yeah i could not get it back in and what the point basically my point was is when you you are shoulder knee or whatever dislocated You're in excruciating pain. As soon as it goes back in place, I mean, literally, as soon as it goes back in place, the pain goes from 100% to 5%. It just completely disappears. That's a bit like what my back is when it pops out. Yeah, it's not much fun. Yeah, let us know in the comments if you've ever had dislocated, you know, shoulders, knees, elbows, whatever. Because when I first did mine, when I was in middle school, so we're talking 25 years ago, no, more than that, 30 years ago, bloody hell, I'm fine. When the ambulance got there, they put it straight back in, and that was like immediate relief. When I did my shoulder, which was, well, I suppose it was eight years ago now, like I say, the second time I'd done it, I couldn't get it back in. They did send an ambulance for me then as well. I mean, I was in a fair bit of pain, to be fair. But what they don't do now is they don't, you know, the ambulance staff or whoever come, they don't put it back in. They'll leave it out until, well, I got to hospital and went straight through. They got me out, went straight through. But then I had to sit there. We go, we'll do an x-ray. I'm like, well, just put it in. Just literally put me shoulder back in. Do you want to be a good one? I can go home. But no, they sent me off for an x-ray, and the lovely girl doing the x-ray, she like, can you put your arm, you know, we need your arm here for the x-ray, you know, like, yeah, yeah, just, yeah, crack on. And then she moved my arm to get it lined up for the x-ray, she put it back in. Glorious. Absolutely brilliant. Cheers, love. I'll go home. But no, then they had to put me in a, I had a, not splint, yeah, splint. No, one of them. wasn't a cast a splint yeah a splint so uh yeah but that does you know i don't know it's an accountability or what accountability or whatever like but they won't um they won't put them back in straight away these days so they just leave you in pain until you can see you know a doctor or something like you know and it's like just i'll just just wiggle my arm around and jump there good i went off a bit of attack but having sat down on the loader for seven minutes my back does feel a bit more solid shall we say so hopefully when we get out now to put a load of silage in the bucket hopefully i won't be uh i'll be able to do more than one mile an hour because that's what i've been reduced to right i'll take you with us how steady george that's what did it when i was getting out the cab of the tractor probably not the best way to get out forward is it like you should get out backwards but who does Ironically, it was only probably last weekend that I did it the last time, and that was getting out of this tractor. So we'll just take things a bit steadier, like the old man I am. Let's ponk you up there. Here. Don't jump out of the cab, George. That's the prerogative. There, let's see how this works, shall we? That's better. I'm crying in pain. You've been up here half an hour. She's only just calmed. Just in the bottom yard because we're quite heavily stocked down here at the minute. Obviously no cows because they're in for milking. Yeah so we're shopping twice a day. Here's Big Chunker. Oh Chunkie. Hello Chunkie. You're a big lover, isn't you? Good boy. Wouldn't really want to be the other side of the fence. Steady Chunker. Oh boy. He's alright really. He loves me in the morning when I give me silage. Best mates then. Best mates. So anyway, let's get this net wrap off. I'm going to get the little old T4 in here and shop. Oh boy. Do you want some straw? Let's tempt him with a bit of straw, shall we? Oh yeah, chunky. Want some straw? Nice bit of straw. Oh yeah. I've decided we will have a bit of straw, but we'll also still show you. How strong we are. Want some more straw, Chunky? Good boy. Yeah? Have you swallowed that bit yet or not? Do you know what you're doing? There you are, Chunky. Won't it? There you are, boy. On your head, son. Right, let's get on. Well, whilst this has been done, I think, with the T495, the little load of tractor, there's Tommy, yeah, obviously it sits on the chopper. Stick around bottom gear. I'll say, I hope it does work, because... It comes on when you do the door, so. We've got the chopper on the back. Something I'm going to be having a bit of a look at this year. I'll have a look more at choppers than that one. Specifically going to have a look at the kids staff. Obviously they're well known for choppers. KV, this is an old bit of kit, but simple but works. But it is, the thing that limits it is, so basically you've got it, it will deliver both sides. You can see, so you've got the, the teapot spout there you can close the bottom of that and then more will come out of that as well as if you can shut this side down so that everything comes out that spout but it doesn't rotate you can adjust it up and down manually but I mean it's really irrelevant you just set it to where it is and that's as far as it will chuck it when we're doing an open yard like this yeah we just have both the bottom ones open and it comes out of either side at the bottom so basically it's all right if you're in a yard like we are here uh doing the cubicles because when you run down the middle of the cubicles it comes out either side you see so uh good for that but not good if you want to blow into a yard um i mean we'll do it by that one but it's just not it's not brilliant so We'd also have a look at a mounted, rotated one. Yeah, that would be the next step, if you know what I mean. So, yeah, that's one thing I'm going to be looking at. LMG plant hire, Latham Miles Gear, he's got a stand with, I'm going to forget the name of it now, but he's started to sell the fire suppression systems. and he's got a front tank going to be on the stand that's a purpose built like fire fighting tank you know front mounting tank lock so we're going to have a look at that I've also got my own front spray tank now lock which I you know when it gets a bit warmer we'll get it on and get that working and see what sort of power that's got lock but yeah that's the other little thing I want to have a look at There is other things, but as per usual, my mind is letting me down. Yeah, I can't think, obviously, other than the main things. The New Orleans Short standard wheelbase T7s, like I've said before, they'll be at the show with the new cab, new styling. The Deutsche Fahrer with the new cab will be at the show, it'll be nice to get in the cab and have a look. I can't remember now, do you class do it? because they've got their new facelifted tractor range out, which we looked at at Agri-Technica. I don't think they've got in a tractor, I don't think. Well, yeah, I can't remember if they do, no, they don't. They don't do that anymore, do they? So that's a no-go, but yeah, there'll be plenty of other stuff we'll be able to look at. Talking a little, yeah, just mentioned Agri-Technica there. I've still got a lot of Agri-Technica stuff. that I need to put up. So there'll be some of that stuff over the next few weeks as well. Yeah, but let us know in the comments if you're going to go to Lama. If so, what you're looking forward to having a look at. Yeah, two days. It'll be hard work, but it won't be Agitechnica levels of hard work. That was just killer that was. Agitechnica. Although someone's just trying to use it as a branch rather than a brush. Yeah, let's get that done another day. But just, especially shopping in an evening, well, in an afternoon as well, doesn't leave you any spare time of an afternoon to do other jobs. So, it must be a daytime job. Anyway, hope you enjoyed that little vid. Yeah, I hope to see you at Lama. Come and say hi. See you at stand. Wednesday, mid-morning, something like that, you should see us. We'll probably be around Thursday as well. Yeah, if not, I'll see you around the show. Hope you enjoyed the vid. See you on the next one. Ta-ta!
