DIESEL ELECTRIC DRIVE ZOOMLION TRACTORS AND COMBINE

So we've got farm track, quite a nice little display of machines to be fair and they're small stuff they do. What are these mate? Are these some European or are they India or somewhere like that? I don't know. Got a nice Icon belt baler there. Big old four rotor rake, Icon combi. Oh look at that, pull out, slide out for your knives. So you can change your noise, sharpen your noise, whatever. Got wrap and, well, what else? But is this film wrap for the, is it net wrap and film wrap? Net wrap and film wrap, I would assume. Yeah. Yeah, tell you what, they ain't skimped on the chain size. Hell of a chain size on it, like. Yeah, central greasing on it. Yeah, nice compact wrapping unit on the rear as well. Very nice compact wrapping unit. Yeah, don't tend to see Vicon stuff in the UK much. There's stuff about life, but I don't think there's many dealers near where we are anyway. But, yeah, you know, got a good opinion of Vicon anyway. So we've got the KV. So they've got some of those brands, the iX-Tur. Big, big, big, big troweled one. Yeah, so it is... Day two. We're probably roughly around halfway now, I'd say. So this is the TS. The farm's got one of these, a very older version of one of these. Yeah, this is quite massively updated over our old one. Still use the same spring tensioning system on the tines. Nice you can get press wheels for the rear rather than, oh, press wheels as well as the spring tines on the rear lot. Nice little toolbox. Very nice. So this is Unlu. Brand never heard of. It pivots there, hits there, sitting on there at the moment, that is released. Oh, okay, so all you need to do, telehandler, it's on the floor, telehandler, lift it up a bit, take the stock bolt out. Which goes that way and hits the one next to it, so you can't take it out. Oh, yeah. All right, whip the blooming U-bolts out. Take the whole unit off. Yeah. It's still under tension because that is welded to that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But now it's on the floor under tension. Now you can take that out and then jump when the spring fires. Great idea. I'm not certain I'd want to be changing the springs. No. Perhaps the springs... You'd have to get a spring compressor. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So then you'd have to compress the new one, slot it in and then... Let go, yeah. It was simple until you needed a special spring. Yeah, yeah, yeah. hmm yeah yeah but as i said that's what i like about we see these i've never heard of unlo they're obviously never netherlands or something like that i would assume yeah no no but you get to see them yeah so we've got lancer question for you yes go yeah slatterboards so slatterboards um they'll leave a crumblier texture, especially unlike clay and ground, there's less resistance there because you're reducing your surface area. Yeah, so as it folds over it tends to break. Break up, yes, break, yes, exactly, yeah. I've never ploughed and slatted and I'm not sure, I presume these wear quicker than a conventional mouldboard. I don't know though, it probably wouldn't make any difference. No, no. than they would be on a conventional mouldboard. If that was solid, it would just be wearing evenly. Yeah, it probably wouldn't wear any different, to be fair, would it, like? But yeah, I've never ploughed with one. Lighter as well. It would be a bit lighter as well, wouldn't it? I don't know why. Yeah. Yeah, probably wouldn't require so much power. There's going to be less resistance to pull through. The material sliding along here has got less resistance, so you'd require less horsepower. And again, less weight. The drive system is a distributed motor direct drive with an independent drive with hydraulic output. It's diesel electric then, isn't it? I'm reading that right. Where's the gen system then? So she's a one, two, three, four, must be a six-pot motor in there. There's some description. posh ecu yeah dipstick is bit of a reach from here i suppose you have to turn the wheels get the dipstick compressor so you must have air on it um yes from what we've divulged from the thing it seems to be a diesel power diesel um engine driving an electric generator ah there's the generator yeah we've just seen it there's a generator pumps on the side of the engine as well power steering possibly for that sort of stuff yeah um but it does say independent hydraulic uh the independent drive motors for hydraulic and transmission yes oh and pto and pto yes yeah yeah but there's the generator though yeah orange cables yeah all the power cables on it i don't suppose we can um is it open no it's locked but we can clamber up just about all right i tell you what that's fairly fairly modern there big big cam mate yeah um Screen in it, two screens in it, multi-controller, load of services, left-hand reverser. Back at Agritechnica 2025. The very interesting Zoomlion machines were very popular, it will be interesting to see if the machines can make an impact into Europe and the UK. We also have a look on the Versatile stand.
