Ginge
Heli's Run

that's loud yeah yeah we don't quite how much noise when you build this new exhaust but it'll sound hopefully a bit sweeter than that one yeah yeah I was just gonna go with that like yeah I think you'd probably hear that from tempted. Still repping that swept out Xerion look with the slash cut? Yeah, yeah, just a little side pipe on the top there, like. Well, mate, that made me jump when you initially repped this bloody hellfire. It's loud, isn't it? It's loud in the cam, is it? Yeah. Told you it would crack. Yeah, that does sound sweet. I'm not gonna lie, that actually did scare me when Darren started the FW up, hence I took some steps back. Yeah, that was loud. Very, very loud. But Ginge, the Ginge Genius, he will get a new exhaust sorted for that. Stainless, obviously. Ginge is the chap that met me at NORMAC the day before the show back in September I think it was for the cultivations demo and he sorted that cross bike where it was blowing and yeah boy can he weld and fabricate, does all sorts of engineering stuff and he's very good at exhaust so yeah she should look good and sound even better than she did before. She'll breathe a bit easier as well, because it's not going to be a straight through, because, I mean, that just would be just too noisy. But it will breathe, she will breathe a bit easier, the old FW, so, and be a bit louder. I mean, it's loud anyway, like, but it'll be a bit louder. But, yeah, she should, you know, with that, the wheels, I can't remember if I said on the previous vid that I might, well I've got a decal kit for the FW, so I might just do the bonnet decals, because the FW30 bit is a bit of a mess, some of the striping on it and everything, so I've got a decal kit, they're not cheap 180 quid um so i may stick that on uh just it'll just you know help improve it like you know uh it's like when i did the tw25 when i had that i got uh new decals made for it made a hell of a difference really did so um yeah so we might do that but of course you know time is ticking it's surprising how quickly uh what with christmas in between you know lamb will be here you know it won't take long for Lama there like and then you know it's here and yeah real systems go but at least we're starting a bit early this time like the wheels should hopefully be back this this week from DNS factors looking all nice and white yeah so she'll be looking good I say Darren's done a a lot of the pipes on it. We've still got the, I've got a service kit to go on it. Darren's sorting out oils for me and then we'll get a service as well. What else is there? Oh, the electrics and the lights, so I've got to sort the electrics out on it. Plough lights have stopped working for some reason and they were working because if you remember back in the summer when I had the Ride Techno store on, I did use, I say use them, I did you know did use them one evening like you know how much used they were like literally candles in the wind but yeah they've stopped working for some reason so I've got the Dasha part on the FW at the minute and having a look at that so there's always sunny isn't it especially with old tratters there's always sunny but we'll get there hopefully have a bit of time over sort of Christmas and that to get over there and get some get some jobs done. There's the hubs to paint as well really for the wheels go back on but it's set outside you know so needs to be a decent day to do that really. What else is there? God knows, there's lots of stuff and there's never enough time is there? There never seems to be enough, especially here on a dairy farm anyway I seem to be working every day God sends so yeah it makes it hard to do your own stuff then like you know what i mean but we'll get there no doubt we will get there um yeah so back at the farm now it's 10 past four and as you can probably tell it's nearly dark and uh yeah you know it's trying to rain again look um but it's very warm loader says it's 16 degrees at the minute which is probably not quite 16 but 13 14 degrees hence i'm in a t-shirt like you know and for the first week of December it's quite unseasonably warm but there we go never mind yeah so the initial plan with tractors going to Lama was going to be the FW and Darren's TW because of course I put FIREMAX 85s on that or six years ago no bloody hell longer than that seven eight years ago I should think so like that so that was gonna be the plan I have both on there but plans change and so I can't really look at the camera because I've got to see how much food is coming out and adjust speed to match So, the plan was to have the FW-TW on the SEAT stand, but plans have changed, so TW's not going now, I don't think, well, I'm fairly sure it's not going, and the FW is, I think, still going, I've not been 100% confirmed on that yet, but I'm not sure it's going to be on stand, I don't know where it's going to be, to be honest, but we'll have to wait and see but as far as i know it is still going but i don't think it's actually going to be on the stand so uh we'll have to wait and see on that like it'll be nice nice for you know to go there like you know i'm putting a fair bit of effort into getting that tidied up you know the extra mile for uh you know for a show so so to speak like you know because uh well the britain's the uk's premiere agriculture show uh machinery show uh you know fairly tidy as she is like you know low hours um and then fairly good you know fairly good nick not really like you know for her age but a bit like a tw seems she's going to llama well just you know go the extra little bit like you know just tie her up a bit extra i don't want it You know, I don't want the tractor to look like it's just rolled out the showroom because I like to see them, you know, see the fact that they have worked for, you know, she has worked for, yeah, 25, 30, 45, 46 years, like, you know. So I think it's nice to see the fact that she is a work tractor, she's done work like not just looks like she's rolled out the showroom. Not to say that I don't appreciate a tractor that does look like that, but that's not for me. So, I still like to have them look tidy, you know, like to look after them a lot, you know, so she should at least look very tidy the time we're done. How much have we got left, we're getting through it, 800 left, we're up this evening, so it's cleared, basically cleared up the old food from about the past five days, you know, the bits that they don't eat and all that sort of thing. Just clear it up every now and again. And then, erm, dry cows and heifers, they get it as a little bit of a treat. So, erm, yes, that's where we are with things. But once she was loud, you'd never be able to run it like that. You'd go to death like. I mean, I knew it was going to be loud, but weren't quite expected to be to be that loud. Yeah, I do love an unrestricted diesel engine. It's nice. It's nice. But before we've got Lama, we've got the big old track to run. So, Heli's track to run, starts in Baldock, goes through Letchworth and then ends up in Hitchin. So that's on the 21st, Sunday this year rather than Saturday. Hold on, I need to put the arm down, hold on, there we go. So, yeah, so that'll soon be, that's two weeks' time, I think. Yeah, two weeks' time. It's hard to believe that's how near Christmas is. So that's coming up. You can have a guess as to what tractor we've got. It's not something we've had on the run before. So I put your comments in the old description to see what you think we've got. Hopefully Mucker will be with me. We may or may not be doing a live, normally obviously we'll do a live of the run like, but yeah we may not this year, obviously Mucker's not in super health, he's not, you know, He's not doing too great, so we might just do a little video, but not do a live of the run. You wouldn't believe it, but it does take a lot of effort to do a live during a tractor run. So we'll see what happens with that light. But yeah, that's coming up. I'll say leave your comment what you think I've got coming for the run, it'll be very nice, it'll be very, very nice. Anyway, I'm going to chuck this barrel in. That'll do because you can't see bug rule, can you? Not really, even with the UTV lights. So, yeah, hope you enjoyed that vid. I'll see you on the next one. Ta-ta!

Last week we had the wheels off, this week we've had the exhaust off and of course we had to hear what the 14.8L Cummins V8 sounded like unmuffled!
