Howdy, folks. So this video, we're going to get rid of these crappy halogen headlights on Matt's MC120 McCormick and Darren's MTX140. We're going to go UTV LED. So this is the McCormick MC120 with the standard halogen headlights. And this is the range. They're not bad, to be fair. The halogen headlights are not bad. That is the dip beam range. And then if Darren does the... There you go. That's the main beam. for the McCormick on the halogen, old halogen lights. Which is not bad, but we'll see what sort of difference it makes when we get the UTV LEDs in. Right, so we're just in Darren's McCormick MTX, the 140. And yeah, that's the driver's eye view of the headlights. I mean, they're pretty poor. So we'll go to main beam. Yeah, there's main beam. That makes a little bit of difference, but not a lot. So... Yeah, we're going to fix that. Right, daylight now. Good morning. So this is Matt's MC120. This had the better headlights of the two. Of the two in the front. Yeah, these are the new ones here. Very, very nice. Look at them. But yeah, if we have a look at Y, so all the plastic's gone hazy on it. The reflectors actually are not too bad on this, but if we go to Darren's, the MTX. Your ones are really poor, aren't they? Really poor. And again, you can see the reflectors all starting to go in it. And that's what gives you your light output, because your decent beam pattern, which you haven't got at all, really. It's just like a... From what I understand, halogen relies on reflectors. Yes. LED, not so much. Not so much, no. So here, actually, we didn't mention this last night in the dark. These are work lights, aren't they? Yep. so these they're not in you know they might look like indicators but they're not there work lights headlights with dip dip in main beam that's a reflector yeah doesn't do anything it's just a reflector that is yeah the same on matt's one really isn't it these are these are work lights and then you've got a dip in a main beam there does that do anything no reflector that's just a reflector yeah and these are obviously the replacement yeah and we'll see in a minute when we get them out but yeah work light Dipper main beam. You've got option for DRL in these as well, haven't you? Yes. So, a sidelight. So, go on then, do the honours. Do the opening. Let's have a look how shiny they look. Very nice. Oh, yes. Very nice. A bit of engineering goes into them, isn't there? Yeah, there is, isn't there? UTV logo inside. Oh, yeah, in the little corner there. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, you've got a, that's your dip beam there. Is that your dip beam or not? I can't remember. Shall we turn them off? No, yeah. That might be your dip. Oh, I don't know. We'll find out anyway. It's easier one or the other, isn't it? Fitting kit. Yeah. And... It should be original plugs. Yes, so it should just plug in. Okay, and these are the first fitments, so we'll find out. These are what we've been mentioning, like, at Lama and Agua Technica. These are brand new. You've been waiting for ages. Well, Matt has for this one. You have for the... Yeah. mtx because your lights are horrendous okay there's been a long time coming but they're here now yeah and uh we'll see what they like so they look well that's all the tabs off it actually comes yeah there's your that one's come off that one's come off already and you've got the headlight one there unplug that what's that h4 plug i think in it yeah h4s there we go there we go it's out and they just pushed Yeah, just push through them star holes in the back. They should have been turned really, I think, so that they couldn't, although they've got the plates behind, so it doesn't really matter, did it lot? No, they can't turn, look, they've got a lug there. No. So no, they just pushed in and fixed and then held in place with them shoe puts. Put them behind there, that just holds it all in place. So, just out of interest, these new ones are, what, for a set? For a pair, $250. $250 for these. Yep. and you've had a look if you need to replace these with genuine genuine yep they they're pretty hard to find and they're not a lot of them are out of stock in some sort yeah seems to be out of stock so i presume they're discontinued yeah but they seem to vary anywhere between sort of 150 and 200 pound each yeah so that makes these not look i mean you think cool 250 for a pair of that's a lot of money but If you had to replace them. Yeah, if you've got a broken one and you have to replace, then obviously this is the obvious way. Yeah, of doing it, because that is going to be a lot brighter than that will be. Oh yeah, we'll see that tonight. Yeah, exactly. Got the fins on the back for the cooling. Yep, breather vent to stop condensation. Yep, little breather vent there. We might come back and wire up the halo, the DRL. Yes. But just for today, I think we'll just plug them in and... Yeah, because obviously there is no side light at the front here, so... No, so there is no power at the moment. No, so if you want the DRL to work, you'll have to run a wire either off your side lights or off the ignition, depending on how you want them to come on, like, yeah. But you don't have to... The other thing is, if you don't want to add the DRL, you don't. You don't have to. You can just... it might be a red wire but that doesn't go live no you put live to put live to it yeah it's not gonna and you're thinking that's gonna earth out somewhere don't worry yeah it doesn't actually matter well things like these never just slots straight home you always have to do a bit of jiggling oh something which is what you're doing a lot there you go see she's jiggled that one gone in yeah yeah that's in that looks spot on yeah look at that it's got an eye now yeah something like that oh sorry something like that so that's that bit of plating do these other two right so we have not run into a problem but a difficulty because we've fitted the two bottom clips there's one clip there you see one clip there that bottom clip there was tricky to do because of this frame here that holds all the sort of grill on and all that sort of stuff and it was very difficult to get that top one so we've just undone the bolts so it drops down now hopefully we should have a bit more room a bit more room yeah a lot more room in fact because it's because it's not I don't know if I'm now in the way of you videoing well that doesn't matter but yeah this the center spar of this bracket was i still can't see if that's lined up but oh yeah there you go there you go so that was that's definitely worth doing then well we spent 35 minutes putting the bottom one on yes but obviously we still got that one to do so that that is the way to do it just undo them bolts this it just hangs down that way but you can net you can see look before that um let me show it yeah yeah hold it up back up yeah so then you've got to try and get these clips on behind that bit of steel Very tricky. So yeah, if we just drop that down, that's so much you should have done that initially. Unfortunately, they've wrapped the wiring around it, so you can't actually take the frame right out. All the way out, but it's holding there. Yeah, that'll stay there. Yeah, so that one's in now. Yes. That's even done. You can crack on with the other one now, Forge. Right, so we've just come up with a little issue. So we had all the lights work. The work light was working this side, but not that side. Yep. So we just have it out again. And it turns out these, if I unplug it again, just to show you. if i can get it with one hand there you go these haven't got in the headlight side a key so detent so it will plug in either way so plug it in it has got i don't know if it will show on camera yeah it has plus and minus plus and minus just there positive and negative yeah so if you want to you could pin that out with a voltmeter yeah work it out and plug it in yeah if not just plug it in if it works don't don't do what we did plug it in bolt it in and then decide to turn it on yes it doesn't work so yeah if it doesn't work one way just unplug it plug it in the other way and it'll work led lights are polarity sensitive yes there you go there's flashing on there a lot yeah hadn't thought of that no but we have now there you go there we go beautiful that's the work lights right so it's day two we left it yesterday um with these ones fitted darren and ginge we're just getting them all lined up so they are lovely lined up now um So these are the 3008s, which fit the Case CX, CS, JX, MXM, CVX, JXU, the Maxim MX and the MXU, and they're the headlight with the worklight. So today we're on Darren's MTX 140, which is the 3007, do the Case IH MX and obviously the MTX. Now there is a third McCormick stroke case light, which Darren... Oh, the third new one. Yeah, the third new one, which is that one. Which looks like that. Which Darren and Matt hasn't got one of these models, so they haven't got the lights, but this is the other option you've got. Yep. And they fit, come on down and go for it, so. These fit the Case 4200 and 5200 series, and the McCormick CX Utility and C Series, as well as a whole heap of others. Yeah. You need to go on, so do the other two. You need to go on the website if you're unsure and most of them are on there. Gives you all the models the same. And the years. Some of them are different years. Same on here as well. You've got all of them on there. But it's also on the website. So if you are looking for them, go on the website and you can find your individual models so you know they fit. So anyway, we're going to crack on. Well, the other thing is as well, if you're unsure as to whether they fit, ring the office. Yes, because they will confirm. They're really helpful. Just ring them up, tell them what you've got, year, model, make, and they will help you. They'll advise you like, yeah, yeah, yeah. If you don't know, just ring. Ring them up like, exactly. So anyway, we're going to get yours all... Yeah, we'll have a go with these. Yes, hopefully we'll get on... I mean, that wasn't too bad. Although we... They weren't difficult, they were fiddly. Them little tabs, the little tabs were fiddly. They were fiddly, yeah. But, yeah, at least we haven't got to work under a bonnet on this one. no this one because the grill stays down like yeah so anyway we'll get this uh get them ones out and these new ones in so they just pull off just yuck that away don't want that and yeah look considering this is this is older than the mc in it yeah two years yeah well you can probably tell that by the fact that it doesn't go up with the bonnet yeah but yeah well it makes it a lot easier to get out doesn't it like so you've got these little Little bolts with the, is it them? With the little star bits? No, no, no, they're the headlight adjusters. Oh, there's me busy adjusting that. Where's your bolts? Can you see the three 10mm nuts? One on the inside and two just in this corner. Can you not see them? No, I'm blind. I don't know if I can point from here. Can you see where my fingers are? Oh, I see it, yes, yeah, yeah. One there, and then there's two here. Oh, I see them now, yeah, so there's two there. behind there and one the other side. That's it. I believe that's all that holds them in. Yeah. Look how yellow they are. Really, really yellow. Yeah. Right, so we've got the bottom. Oh, Darren's already, look, he's beat me. Yeah. So, yeah, there's three bolts and then you've got the two adjusters. These little, see that little adjuster there? You've got to have, wind them out of the back of the headlight. You've got to take them right out. Yeah, because otherwise they won't go through the holes, so. fortunately the new ones you don't yes the new ones are better designed so i'm just doing the inner one there as you can see hopefully that is is that anything happening getting looser they've come quite a long way out i found yeah yeah that one's nearly there so these are just the headlight adjusters obviously there goes the new one give us a demo down oh yeah the new one doesn't have a star wheel on the end it just does that yeah pass it through like that and when you get it in you can adjust it like that yeah there you go that's one out yeah she comes shut that away in in your own time darren we're like you know we're busy waiting i can't find the boat out you can't find the hole there you go look at that so i'll let you put the boat oh thank you smart right so we're all in Go on then. Yes, look at that, work lights are going. So that's your dip beam. Ignition for your main beam, yep. Yep, look at that. Lovely. So what we're going to do on yours, they are bright, is, turn them off for a minute, is we're going to wire your DRLs up now, aren't we? Yes. So, and we can put the panels, well, actually we can't put the panels back on because we've got, connect the wires up there like but uh yeah only thing that lets yours down big style now i mean little reflector yeah it just looks like yellow and it does a bit mellow it looks like yellow snow you know what i mean don't lick it you were just telling me was it 50 quid i did see it you can't get one of them on one website i saw that for four i think it was 48 quid or something ridiculous yeah just sticks on there doesn't it like yeah yeah Yeah, but it does let it down. It does a bit. It does let it down. It's a bit like Matt's. It just looks really... It does not look right, does it now, like, no. He needs to paint his grill as well. Yeah, the grill doesn't help the job, does it, like, no. But at least you've got a nice silver grill on yours. Go on then, Darren. Peel off. Stick all the work lights on, Paul. That's it, yeah. Other ones? Main beam? Here. No. There. Other side. Here. There you go. Top one's down and on. There you go. Main beam. Oh, that one's up. Oh, go on. Yeah. Abbie and Hugh. Marketing team. How nice are they looking? It is worth noting that they've already got the 40 watt work lights on. Play with their original ones. So they match up. They're identical to the old ones. But obviously... a lot better light output and they're only the 40 watts you can get 80s if you want a really serious amount of light but even these 40s will be a lot brighter than the old halogens there we go just got to see what they're like at night so just looking around some of matt's other tractors he is a massive believer in being able to see what he does because he does a lot of work at night so you'll find literally everything here is uh utv'd up so we've got uh utv headlights utv work lights on the 3080 which is on the feeder wagon 3185 fast track um like mine he's got the jcb led headlights full rectangular work light package on it front and rear the massy 3645 is rocking led headlights work lights the 7530 It's got the front headlight package, and that's a full unit you buy. Obviously with the headlights in, work lights, and then it's got a full complement of UTV LED work lights on it, which look like the John Deere version, but they are UTV. You see they've got UTV on the bottom there, and Matt values being able to see where he's going. what he's doing right so this is what the halos look like right so this is what the halos look like uh in the dark i mean they're they're very bright they are bright as soon as you come away with the camera it just looks like a blob of white but there's a very clear halo there like looks really smart shut the door find the light switch there you go that's main that's the main beam at the minute we'll turn them off We'll head round to where we were not last night, the night before. We want to put it in forwards. So we can compare and get the drone up again and see the difference in the light output. You can see immediately that the difference in light output is literally night and day. There you go, there's your full beam. Completely, looking at, well, you can see the other side of the lake now, like. Completely different. Darren's MTX there. And his lights, his lights were a really poor lot. How much difference are they, George? All the difference. All the difference. Night and day, mate. And it literally, like, the dip beam's so much better. I mean, yours were really poor, weren't they? Let's turn these off a minute. So that's your dip beam now, isn't it? Yeah. Yeah, main beam. Look at that. Look at that serious amount. Do your work lights, mate. Look at that. That's the difference. That is some serious light output, that is. Serious light output. Right, so George has left me in charge of holding the camera while he goes and finds his drone. So I just thought I'd show you a bit more on these lights. Just while we're now in the dark. That's on dip thing, we're just lying. Well, you'd have seen earlier how bad mine were. They just give an amazing light output, these lights. And that's Max MC over here. And that's just the daytime running lights that are on now. OK, you're not going to be able to drive with those. But people are definitely going to see you even just with those on. Yeah, no side lights, nothing else on the tractor. That's just the daytime running. You can see it lights the ground up in front of you. If anybody wants these lights, obviously you can contact UTV, UTV Products Limited, and you'll find their website through Google. But if you're local to me in Cambridgeshire, I can obviously also get you the lights through UTV. I'll bring them out, show you how to fit them, give you any help with wiring that you might want. Most of them are plug and play, which means you just take the old light out, plug this one in, which is exactly what these have been. Plug and play. Some lights, depending on what model tractor you've got, some you do have to change the plug or modify the plug. It is really easy to do, but yeah, I just really like them. Oh, and one other thing, before anybody says, oh, you've only fitted those because UTV are giving them away to you. No, they're not. I've had to buy these out of my own money. All of the lights on my tractor have been paid for. So, eight 40-watt work lights and these headlights on. Yeah, and Matt, obviously being the farmer here, he's definitely, yeah, he's been buying all of his. And I think we've done... I think we've done nine tractors now for him. Or I've done nine tractors for him. All with UTV. Work lights, headlights, everything. I've just put my main beam on again just to show you. They are amazing lights. And then that's work. First set of work lights, which as I think we've discussed before, also now puts the work lights that are in the grille on. So that gives you loads of light for working in the field. in the yard. Definitely not going to be short of light with those. And then I've got a second set of work lights, which are obviously on the cab roof. Yeah. And I've also got the work lights. Those square or oblong lights that George will have showed you earlier, they're on the back of mine. So there's only four, two on the wing, one on each rear wing, and then two on the top of the cab. Let's see how bright they are. Ah, look, look who's turned up. What was? Very nearly flew into the telecom's mast. Oh, did it? It went up. What, and then went backwards? Yeah, it just went forwards. I was like, what the hell? Yeah. And then you just stopped it in time. All right. Have you got control of your equipment now, George? Not sure. This is George's toy. Oh, yeah, wow. Well, that's a good picture on there, isn't it? Yeah, yeah. What have you got? That's just your dip beam. No, I think that's mainly... I think I might have turned everything on. Let me go back to dip beam. I hope you enjoyed that little fitting video on the two McCormicks. I think you'll agree they do look very smart. You can actually see the halos quite nicely there. Yeah, very smart. Anyway, yeah, I hope you enjoyed that. We'll see you on the next one. Ta-ta! Thank you!
