Wait, wait. Best play? Probably not, but I wanted you to see how I actually play golf. And I do this every time. Hey, what's going on? Welcome to the channel. Something a little different, but hopefully you'll be seeing a lot more of this. I'm a huge fan of golf, have been for years. I'm not a particularly amazing golfer, but I love playing and I love creating content. So we're going to try to pair those two together. Today, I'm at Prairie Lakes Golf Course, Grand Prairie, Texas. and we're gonna make a little course vlog. I'm gonna introduce you guys to my golf game and what that looks like, the good, the bad, the ugly. First tee shot was okay. I just have to see if I can find it. We'll go from there. All right, so first tee shot, not bad. I don't know if this is a driver hole. It's probably not a driver hole. It's not a particularly long par five, 500 yards, but it is a narrow fairway, and I missed it. Not by much, but enough that it's up 200 yards from the grain, but I'm... not going to be able to go for it so I'm just gonna try to punch one out there have a decent look where the third shot okay so I got about a hundred and thirty five yards left give or take to the center so I'm gonna just try to play kind of that number and see what happens a little pitching wedge not bad looks like it's a little short but first hole first three swings of the day I just wanted to be on the green so I'm good with it Okay, so the pin was a little further back in the green than I thought. I guess that's what the blue flags mean. I'll think about that for next hole. Anyway, I've got, I don't know, 40 feet. I'm not really trying to make a bird here. I'm just trying to get it within five feet of the hole. Putting is definitely the weakest part of my game as of now. So I'm just trying to get to put this and move on to the next hole. I hate these putts because I feel like I should make more of them than I do. I'm going to go maybe right edge and just see what happens. Gotta hit it. Love it. And that is my game in a nutshell. So on a second. Okay, so hole two, it's a 380 yard par four. I don't know if it's a driver hole or not, but I hit driver on most holes that I can. So we're gonna see what happens. Just gonna try to put it down there. Down the right side. I think it's in the trees. Might be in trouble. I don't know. Okay, so one of the biggest weaknesses in my game is that I really have a tough time knowing how far each of my clubs go because I don't play enough I haven't played golf in I don't probably three weeks and before that I hadn't played in well over a month so I'm still basically figured out every time I go out to play it's kind of a guessing game so well we'll see how that plays out but that's definitely one of the weaknesses to my game as you will probably see demonstrated many times all right so I have about 85 yards, but that number doesn't mean a whole lot because it's right behind this tree. So I'm going to try to just punch one out to the right-hand side, hopefully just crawl it up there on the green. I'm making this hole a lot harder than it needs to be. Okay, just short of the green, I can live with that. I was really concerned about hitting this tree and this tree, so the fact that I'm up there, I'm good. Okay, so I'm going to try to do something a little different this round. Normally, I play with a 56, 58, maybe a 60 around the greens. But I end up hitting them fat. I end up basically trying to flop shot stuff that I shouldn't. So at a 52, I'm just going to try to punch it up there, get it rolling, and see how that works. Slow down, slow down. Remember when I said earlier that putting is the weakest part of my game? Yeah. On to the third. 420 yard par 4. Let's drive her again. I'm just going to try to hit one straight. That's kind of always the goal, right? But try to hit one straight. That was not straight. Went that-a-way, that-a-way. Alright, that was a terrible tee shot. No distance, basically just a super spinny slice back into the semi-woods, which apparently is where I like to play from. But, at 189 yards out, it's time for some hero golf. Let's see if we can hoist a six iron that way. It was super fat, but it rolled up there. Looks like it's probably just short of the green, so... That's why I'll be on tour two years. Two years, baby. So I thought I was short of the green, because there's a ball right down there that was right in line with where I hit it. But actually, I ended up all the way on the back of the green, so I guess it's a good thing I didn't catch that clean, because I would have been back there. Yeah, a little lag putt, two putt for par. I'd be a lot more confident if I didn't just miss a putt this exact distance on the last hole. On to hole 4 it's a par 5. This is about 540 yards. It's going to be driver again. If you were going to guess, you'd probably guess right. Not too far, just a little off the fairway, but it's in the trees probably. Okay, so story of my life. I don't know, 10 yards or so away from being in pretty good shape. But I didn't get any distance out of that one either. I still have 283 left to the green, so I'm just going to lay up. There's water short of the green, so I'm just going to punch it out there. Try to give myself a look on the third shot. Oh no. Oh no. Oh wow. Just totally hooded that club face. Clearly. Wow. That was bad. So my brother Jed's behind the camera looking for my ball and he goes, is that you behind that tree? Of course it is. About 175 yards or so. Looks like the pin's in the back. I should be able to, I shouldn't really have any tree trouble here. So I'm just going to take a... probably a seven iron just try to hit one out the lies not good though that's it's gonna be the big thing so yeah fingers crossed okay it's safe it's right something just doesn't feel amazing right now kind of getting flippy and I don't know it doesn't feel amazing but I'm dry which is good because there's water short all right a little bit short of pin high so pretty good for distance actually just right of the green. I can't decide. I may actually take this one a little bit higher just because I don't want to take the chance of leaving it short. I think if I do a bump and run I have to land it pretty short. I really don't want to leave it still in the rough. So I think I'm gonna take my 58 and go up a little bit. I clipped it so clean. I clipped it so clean. I just want to commit quite enough to get it all the way back there. It's okay. Alright, this is for par, but realistically I'm just trying not to three putt, so anywhere within two three feet i'll be very happy slow down okay i'll take it okay so you probably have already picked up on the reason why i'm not a good golfer it sure came right it's the chipping it's the putting but uh it's on to hole five this is a 165 yard par three over water i'm going to hit an eight iron and uh see what happens right there right out of the toe and uh I didn't get there. So when I said my weaknesses were short game chipping and putting, I have overestimated my strengths. Okay, so that shot really wasn't terrible. It hit on the green and then just rolled back into the water. So it's not quite enough. A little drop here. Just really want this one to get over the water. Yeah, that was not. No chance that was coming up short. No chance. Okay, so I'm just going to try to two-putt this and get out of here. Try to... get out of here with a double I don't know just want to go to the next hole not ideal that is a double bogey but we're gonna birdie the next probably not so we got a 400 yard par 4 I am going to hit my three with this time and try to spend less time in the trees we'll see just came so far over the top there just pulled it straight shocking development little tree trouble But actually it could be worse. So I've got about 157 to the middle, give or take. So I've got to get around this tree a little bit. Okay, so I just want to make sure. By make sure, I mean try to make sure I get over this tree. So I'm going to hit a pitching wedge. I don't think I'm going to get it all the way there. But if I just get it, you know, just short of the green, but in the fairway, I'll be quite happy. So straight up into the sun. I do not know where that went. It felt good. Missed the tree so it's up there somewhere. I'm one of these two golf balls which means that close to a pin high so I'll take that. Just on the green or just short in the rough and let it roll out. Next one's going 12 feet past the hole. End over end exactly where I aimed it so can't really be mad about that. Okay so this is hole 7. It is a 210 yard par 3 over water. A little bit into wind. I'm going to hit a 4 iron. and hopefully hit the middle of the club. So bad, I did not hit the middle of the club. I hit there, maybe. But, I went right, cleared the water, bounced up, probably pin high, about, I don't know, 10 yards right of the green. So, let's see if we can get up and down. That would be nice. Okay, so, like I said, about pin high, I don't know, 15 yards or so off the green, but there's a big old hump between me and the pin, and the pin is just on the green. So, I'm gonna go up. I'm gonna see if I can fill Mickelson this thing and not thin it into the water. A little more time over this. Okay, so I will do the math in a second. Not great. Okay, so it was a double bogey. Not great, but I mean, honestly, we're just out here having fun, so it's not a big deal. The next hole is 340 yards. There is a ridiculously long carry off the tee over water. Oh, huh. Actually not as bad as I thought about 260 something, but today it is into the wind firmly so Of course, we're gonna send it you gotta send it. All right, so based on how I have driven the ball so far today Just the best play probably not but I wanted you to see how I actually play golf and I do this Every time I made it it made it for sure. That is Either just on or just off the green probably I'll probably have my bogey wrapped up from there, so I'm pretty excited about it. If anybody would like to support my PGA Tour aspirations, I'll set up a Patreon after this drive. So, definitely turning pro. First birdie of the day, theoretically. I really hope I don't miss this now. There we go, first birdie of the day. I don't want to get your hopes up and make you think that that happens often, because clearly it doesn't. You should retire that ball. You know what? Maybe I will. Also that was hurtful, Jed. Alright, we have hole nine here at Prairie Lakes. This is the last hole in this little inaugural golf log. 385 yards, uphill par four. It's pretty wide open, so of course I have to send it. Shockingly, I'm in the trees. There's one behind me. There's three in front of me. There's a little bit of an opening. So, I think we're probably going to be on the green in two. Puffer birdie. Oh no. That did not work at all. Hey, it worked out great. I got an opening now. Just take one up over the top. Wow. I have never done that before where I successfully hit two trees in the same shot. So y'all are witnessing history here today. Still about the same yardage. Six iron. Okay, so the tree knocked it quite a bit. But I'm here and I found the fairway, guys. I found it. About 71 yards to the pin. I'm just going to try to punch a 56 up there and get it on the green, hopefully. It's on the green. All right, there you go. It's about as typical of a nine-hole round as I play. It's all over the map. I'll put the final score on the screen now. I'm not even sure what it is at the moment. Not good, but I had a birdie. Yeah, so there you go. Only up from here.
