OUT With The OLD IN With The NEW?

Howdy, folks. How are we doing? We're just getting in the 3170. So you finally had to have a new set of batteries a couple of days ago because I'd left the two-way on. I remember about a year ago, a similar thing. I can't remember what it was. It was just that it had been sat a long time and it killed the batteries. Anyway, I charged them up and they've done another year. but with that um draining them down i thought right bugger it's time to get some batteries now so new batteries on her which is nice so i bought four batteries this past week two weeks two for this two for the fw you can't not you know you can't have it um machine that won't start it's so annoying so annoying anyway it is coming up to um tractor run time nearly christmas nearly crimbo so uh i said a video or a couple of videos ago what tractor do you think i've got because big paul normally comes and drives mine there she is sports fans there she is yeah we're gone um gone proper this time 4220 icon off of oliver's now a lot of you probably say wow jorge why not Why aren't they at 6,000? Well, they haven't got 6,000 yet. That'll be next year. So we've got a 4,000. I did actually ask for an eight, but they haven't got any eight to spare. So that was, well, not annoying, but it would have been nice to have a go on an eight. But, you know, we will do eventually. But, yeah, I am really looking forward to trying a 6,000 when they become available. Yeah, really looking forward to that. It's a troublous time of year. The sun just doesn't get up, does it? So it's always at blooming eye level. Anyway, what we're doing at the minute is I'm going to swap the boxes over. So we're going to take the RideTech compact box off of here. I'll just put that heater on just to get rid of that steamed up window. Yeah, so we're taking the RideTech box off here and we're going to put it on the 4220. And I could... you know i could just drop it off the linkage like it is but i'm going to put it in on the 4220 in its compact mode i.e with the linkage folded up so um to do that as far as you do with a loader because obviously you can't get um you can't really get folded links down very far as far as you need to so it's just easier to use a loader this will be the first time actually that that compact compact box has been used in the compact mood if you will like but yeah isn't she smart so it's uh oliver's demonstration unit um i do like the uh black and uh gray union jack decals there um what twin uh two twin remotes on the front front pto electrics steve plug obviously the double acting suspension all around on these which makes them so comfy Yeah, so it's a 2025 model lot. It's a very nice rear view camera. Yeah, very nice. I mean, it's been a long time since I've driven one of these. Three years, I think, since we had that one on demo. Yeah, got to be. Got to be three years or two and a half anyway, because it was, you know, sort of cultivations time, wasn't it? So, yeah, got a 900k deck weight, which I think is pretty standard these days. It just does mean they're nice and planted on the rear end lot. Up we go. Still got that new cab smell. Yeah, very nice. Such a nice cab these are. It's such a good system as well. Especially on the loader, you're in and out all the time. The quick set steering column just drops into exactly the right place each time. Very good, very good. yeah so that's that's the icon screen obviously it's well up to date now and it just works like your phone does just scroll it through to get all the different that's your auto steer to get all your different screens and if you want to click on something so front edge you just click on it there you go you can do you adjust all your your lower rate your depths position power down or float it's all done from there so it's uh far easier to fathom and it's it's a far easier to fathom than a lot of modern stuff um a lot of a lot of stuff is very very very complicated now and brake off into forward but then to home step on the accelerator and we are away of course best thing about uh 4220 four wheel steering so it does make it very very maneuverable You've still got the left-hand reverser there. Backer up next to the old girl. Yeah, super herb. Right, so we'll just knock this one off a minute. She's dried out in here anyway, so you can see how the difference in technology levels. I've got the lovely Julie on the loader for me. So we will unhook that, unhook that, unplug the... Electrics. Lay that on there and then get Julie to come under. That'll do. Perfect. Take that out. Just drop that down now. So it should just lift off now, Julie. Keep going. So we're down there. So why is that... Have I got chunky hooks or something? Just go back a bit, Julie. That's it. Keep going. There you go. That's just dropped down. Beautiful. That's why you need someone good on the load a lot. So we're off that one now. And we're going to put it on here. All we've got to do to the box is just change the ball fittings on the bottom for the pads. So I'll go and get the pads and we'll get them changed. That's all you've got to do. Take that out. Grab your rubber block. That's all you've got to do, do the other side. There we go, that's all you've got to do, literally, to change it between normal linkage and folded up linkage. So just put some balls in these top pins and we'll hope they fit. These are adjustable. To cope with different, you've got slotted holes there, you see. So they are adjustable, but we'll hope they fit. Obviously a lot of these will fold up probably a little bit different. Down a bit. Out a bit, Julie. So that one there, that one's... Just get that to go that way a bit, Julie. That way, innit? That's it. Come on, lock back. You want to lock back. There you go. Right. Crowd it forward, Julie, a bit. That's it. Down. Keep going. Hold on a minute. Up. Sort of get that ball lined up. Up a bit. down that's it um yeah go down a bit more julie that's in that one requires a bit of a bit of thingy i've just fired up julie and lift the lift the arms up a bit now you see why you sort of need two people to do it although it doesn't take long five ten minutes it's done but um you just oh you've got that uh them link arms are on the on the angle so um yeah just need not someone just to watch you do it. But to be honest, it's not the sort of thing you take on and off very often, is it like? I mean, that hasn't come off the fast track since it went on there, like. So let that boot up and then we should be able to do it from the buttons at the front. That does just go. Got it. So we need to... Now look at the difference of that now. So that's fully folded up. Ain't going to go any more. Your arms are sitting on the rubber pads there. Absolutely perfect. Nice and upright. That is the difference it makes. Basically you've got that length there from that fillet point to the pin there out forward so it's probably there I would say where the back of the box would be. So that's why it's a compact box. Look at that, beautiful. That looks good on there. You have to get yourself familiar again with where everything is. Like I say, I haven't driven one for two and a half years. So things aren't where they should be, if you know what I mean. But yeah, I could quite easily upgrade to one of these. I mean, the 3000 is lovely. Don't get me wrong. And beautifully comfortable on that. But it's not as comfy as one of these. These are just glorious, glorious. And, of course, we've got it caught because we've got the track to run coming up Sunday, the starting ball dock through lecture of finishing hitching. And it's, again, in aid of the garden house hospice. And they're really struggling. Like a lot of hospices at the minute, they're really struggling to fund themselves. So any donations would be greatly appreciated. Yeah, hopefully I'll be you know similar event last as it was last year Neutral she's in neutral. Yeah, so that's that's coming up Sunday. So Yeah, we're getting ready this and tell everyone ready the next couple of days Tomorrow or the next video we're heading over to Kingy's with it pick up is transport box uh so i can get father christmas in there um but there we go yeah 4220 icon does it get any better i don't know
