Howdy folks, how we doing? So today I'm having a quick look at getting the front tank mounted and see how it works. Get the control box in, see if we can get this thing to load itself and pump. So I've took the dosing system off because it had on here the frame that would distribute the fertiliser. to the crop, which is what it was done before. So now that is just the outlet. Got a female cam lock on there so I can draw off the tank to fill it with water. There's the control box. So see if we can get everything plumbed on, get it fired up, see how it sort of works. That's the plan anyway. First job, whip the old Roytech compact box off the front. Need a block or two. which we can soon get we'll use the loader to lift this on because we won't get the arms low enough to pick it up on one pallet so we'll get the loader fired up and we'll use that to get it on board and then see what she's like cool it's on boys we took the loader out the way and we can um see what's what get the old control box plumbed in and see if we can figure out the valve on it i think there's only the one valve but we can See if we can figure it out. Looks alright on there, doesn't it? Quite compact. It's a nice shaped tank. Obviously with the slope in front, it's quite profiled. It gives you good, I should imagine, quite good visibility. Down a little bit. Somewhere there. Shut the valve off. And then we can plumb the hydraulics in. And we've just got to change the lever over there. First time I've used these... services with I put the covers all night I didn't know I've got the drain in the box drain in it still so we've got that drain out both in we can now get hooked up to the tank I think we're just gonna get rid of the ring terminals yeah but D plug on there's something I bought at Lama Nipex standoff a cramp yeah these are nice to be fair i haven't done any electrical work since then this is the first time i've used them they work really well also auto strip you can set your length there as well um and they've got a up the top there got a cutter so quite nice they are not um i think there was a crimping version as well but for a lot more money but don't worry about that we will just use my standard crimps you know i should have poked it through the the rubber before doing that you know never mind oh there you go one d-plug fitted all right so this is the lead that has to go connect to the screen go on poor old doing it what sounds like we're killing killing the blooming thing um yeah i mean obviously we can root that a bit Better at some point, but for the purposes of testing, that'll be fine. Oh, the spray and the master is off. 0 kilometres an hour. Snake master off. So that is, is that for your blobs? I'm guessing that if, you know, obviously it's for various different things, but I'm guessing there's probably the blob markers left and right. You've got auto there. Master is off, obviously. So that is the master. That's on now. We'll turn it back off a minute. That should turn your pressure up and down. Flow rate, yeah. Master area, spray quantity, field tank level, time, distance, speed, flow rate. Yeah, look at that, actually, for viewing. Very good front view. well with a lot of them they're sort of you know obviously a bit higher and everything um yeah it doesn't obstruct front view at all and this is quite interesting i think i don't think this will run in there on its own so um i'll open that yeah that's open so we should be running yeah i don't think we're going to be we're high enough to run in so um engage hydraulics i understand at the minute It's hard to tell, but I don't think it's running. I can't understand, because we're pumping. That's the return. Yeah, that's the return. That one is the pressure pipe. And we did test this, me and Darren, when he come over a while back, when he plumbed that in. We did actually make it work, so we do know. But it does say in there. So we're definitely, you know, we're pumping in it. You can feel that line is pumping. but it kind of feels like it's just circulating around rather than going to the pump. I'll just turn the spool off in cab, just so I can play with the linkage buttons at the front. That should be the right way around now, whether it just got a little bit jammed or something. Oh ho ho, they're pumping water. The point comes in, the feed comes in here obviously. This valve splits in two, so you've got that top one there goes to tank the bottom one curls around goes in the pump there and then the other the other side of the pump comes out up into the end of the valve there like and then comes through into here so it must be drawing through there down there and then straight around the pump but it must be able to load its own tank surely but why doesn't that valve It seems to make any difference which way you have it. It seems to pump whether it's forward or back. We'll try constant pump again. We'll put the constant pump again on in the cab. It should work now. I reckon that pump is just a little bit stuck. Yeah, so that's going. So that just shuts it off, I think. And that's still going. Piss too much with the water out. Just take this out here. Oh, we haven't got too much. Oh, so. Oh, okay. So flicking that on has stopped the water coming out. How, I don't know. Does that mean it's... Let's have a look. Does that mean it's filling up? It's dead-ending now, then. We're pumping to the... We've got a little bit of a week there. It must be dead-ending at the minute. Just all the water about, I think. It still reads nothing, but I suppose it will, because there's no... Yeah, I mean, thinking about it, that's not going to read anything, because there's no... That's open-ended pipe, isn't it? So, that's still got the light on. See, if we look here, this is the outlet of the pump. Comes up into here and then we've got a pipe there and another pipe there that feeds into the tank. They don't appear to be doing anything. What does that do? A little pinhole in that pipe there. Especially now, it's not pumping out there. Why is it not into the tank? That would be fair. Oh, it might be pumping water. Right, let's see what changing that does now. Fair flow to it though, isn't it, what? So out of interest then, I wonder, look at the type of pump on the fast track. We don't want to rev too much. Oh yeah, she's jiggling around like a spray pump now. Yeah, that's got a fair flow to it. Ideal. So that's going in the left hand one. Yeah, bypassing there. You can cut that down a little bit, just get rid of that little pin prick there. turn the valve off keep recircling that pipe on the pump isn't isn't that big so i'm not sure we gain a lot so we're still pumping so what we'll do now that seems to be the other way around that's pumping now the blowback but as high as there is going to tack whether something's still going around let's have a quick look i can't really look can i that side i think that's still going yeah can adjust on it to get more pressure going through there whether it is that green knob there so that's what that does your mounts there but yeah that stops at least it works anyway i don't know why that's the other way around but oh there we go we've got um we've got there in the end so it all works just be nice to like i'm thinking with that outlet pipe for um put that in my box for like the firefighter if you know you know in the summer firefighting so whether i can get enough power out of that or that or not i don't know but if anyone knows a bit about these let me you know let me know in the comments sort of what to adjust i mean i've adjusted everything i think that's fully on now so that's putting as much as it can to the outlet pipe i'm not sure what else there is to adjust like i say i think the controller's flat out as far as i can tell 50 percent the actual pressure there but whether it's yeah because it's not reading the speed oh was i um okay i think i was on auto so it would have been try that again let's stick that back in a minute on auto that would have been it obviously wasn't picking up any radar so um it's probably putting it on at the minimum the minimum amount you know what i mean we'll give her a few reds we'll just have another play with us with the um it was getting a little flow there yeah that was that seemed a lot more that was pointing that way into tank now it's pointing to the outlet they started flowing in then that's yeah that must go definitely that way for loading we're just going again going to rate presets you've got one is 80 two is 90 three is 100 four is 200 litres a hectare so I bet we're probably getting towards the end of that sort of flow right I'll go to 600 it's going to be able to put more than that out through that pipe anyway so litres cool quite a bit better I'll turn her off put that back in yeah so put that on there yeah so that'll I'm quite chuffed how well that worked Yeah, so obviously you can then, you know, we're not far away, you know, step boys now from being able to use that on here. So stick it on the front of the 225 instead of the multi-math weight. Then you've doubled the output of the spray a lot. You've got, you know, it's a thousand litre tank on the back, thousand litre on the front then. Yeah, you're laughing. The only thing we have got to do... This tractor didn't come with a front linkage and a PTO, but didn't come with any front electrics. Not the end of the world in that case, although I probably will put some lights on that tank. It doesn't require any electrics itself, only from the cab. But yeah, there's no D-plug on here, no 7-pin electrics, not even any services. services have got to be put on i mean i i don't follow the logic of that like why you would uh i mean we bought it as a second hand well the farm bought it as a second hand machine but why you would um spec it with front linkage front pto as well but not front services or electrics i mean services at least um so that's yeah that's got to be sorted out right but uh yeah so that is that's a good bit of good bit of um what's the word finding out today not fine that's not the right word but that's that's what i'm thinking of anyway so yeah looks right on there doesn't it i need all i need now for the fast track is a d-mount for the back yeah lovely i think some utv lights on the front whether we go um headlights don't really need them because i've got i've got the belt markers on the fast track and that's got high level headlights as well so don't really need headlights but some markers the flashes wouldn't hurt would they lot so um yeah it sticks out a fair ways but nothing yeah it's going to stick out probably probably well let's see so one two three basically four foot from the arm see what the compact box is about that one two yeah well yeah about two and a half just over two actually the compact box i mean that's it is a compact box but um yeah it's no worse than having a mower on the front or anything like that uh it'll be well less than having a mower on the front and all you've got to do anyway is um stick a couple of them on the old mag mount wireless cameras and then you can see out of gateways easy anyway a lot so uh no bother anyway that's a That's a good hour and a bit's work that he's got that fairly well sussed out now. So I hope you enjoyed that. Let me know what you think. I'll see you on the next one. Ta-ta!
